Today, I want to cover a topic that has obviously affected all of you guys.

The IOS 14 Update.

A few years back, E-Commerce was all about your Facebook Ads ROAS. Today, most brands are finding it almost impossible to have a profitable Facebook ads system.

Yes, this is because of IOS.

However, it is also because of how the world has changed. The last decade, “Data” was the new gold. The more data you had, the more targeted your ad spend and hence the better the ROAS.

In 2023, the new gold is “Attention”. Consumers are no longer buying directly from sketchy Facebook Ads. They now have a larger trust threshold. They want value before they buy.

Doing this solely through Facebook is no longer effective as you’d end up spending a bomb.

Facebook can be compared to renting. With Facebook ads, you don’t own the audience. You rent it.

This your communication capacity.

To build trust, you need to communicate effectively.

For that, you need to own your audience and build a community.

The e-com brands that are following this rule, win.

You can do this by building a social media following, an email list or even a blog.
